Private courses
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT
1. HOURS
Students are required to attend on the first morning of their course at 9.00 a.m. for the purpose of induction.
Courses commence at 9.30 a.m. and finish at approximately 4.30 – 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Evening courses commence at 6.30 p.m. and finish at approximately 8.30p.m – 9p.m.
All Courses commence on Monday unless otherwise stated. The training centres will be closed on all U.K. public holidays, unless otherwise stated.
2. ENROLMENT AND FEES
Deposits are not refundable but will be credited against the total course fee.
The balance of the total course fee must be paid no less than 10 working days prior to the course commencement date.
All fees quoted are exclusive of vat at the current rate. (NB. Refunds are not given for any reason)
A student is accepted on a course subject to the conditions that the student will attend on the commencement date at the time specified, and thereafter the same rule applies.
In the event of a student failing to attend the confirmed course or complete the course for any reason, no refunds will be made and no entitlement to a later-date course will be gained.
Students will not be accepted on the course commencement date unless full payment has been made.
3. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE
With the exception of the Beginners Course it is required that all students attending have a good basic knowledge of how to cut hair. Nvqs.com training centre reserve the right to alter details of course arrangements.
Course fees maybe subject to change without prior notice. All students are requested to bring their own personal hairdressing equipment with them. i.e. scissors, combs, brushes, hair dryer etc.
Nvqs.com training reserves the right to dismiss any student giving justifiable cause for such action. NVQs.com action in all such matters will be deemed as final.
All students are expected to attend any course suitably attired for salon work. Properly enclosed footwear must be worn on the premises at all time. The following items of clothing are not suitable and will not be allowed to be worn in the training academies, Track-suits, sports wear, shell suits, high heeled shoes, sandals or open toed shoes, an excess of wrist or finger jewellery.
The name 'NVQs.com' is a registered trade name and may not be used in any form of advertising whatsoever, including advertorial.
No allowance will be made for absenteeism or lateness except with prior permission of the Training Director, whose decision will be final.
Projects, research & homework are a necessary part of a course being completed and submitted for assessment. It is therefore the student’s responsibility to ensure all works are completed on the due dates.
Each student is responsible for the safe keeping and cleanliness of all tools/equipment used. Damage caused to Nvqs.com training centres property/equipment by carelessness or negligence must be replaced by the student at their own expense.
Any accident on Nvqs.com's premises must be immediately reported to the instructor in charge at the time and the details entered into the accident book on the premises.
Students will not absent themselves from a class or from the premises without prior permission from the training centre supervisor.
Smoking is not allowed by any student at anytime on Nvqs.com premises.
Eating and drinking is not allowed in any theory or practical working area at anytime. However, it is allowed in the designated students rest room.
