Courses
All courses benefit from a low student to instructor ratio. Whether full or part time our philosophy is to ensure that each student benefits from as near individual tuition as possible. Our instructors as well as being fully experienced hairstylists have been hand picked for their knowledge, skill and ability in communication to give you the best start possible in your chosen career as a future hairdresser.
Skills related to hairdressing are also available either as free standing qualifications or combined along side hairdressing to strengthen your knowledge and increase your future earnings potential.
Most courses will lead you towards a 'National Vocational Qualification' (NVQ) at the following levels:
NVQ Level 1. Is an introduction to hairdressing most suited to young people who are considering a career in the industry. This course can be combined with academic education from 14 years of age and can also lead to the Salon Services certificate or an NVQ Level 1.
NVQ Level 2. (Apprenticeship) Provides the skills and knowledge required to become a competent hairdresser and from which to build your experience and confidence.
NVQ Level 3. (Advanced Apprenticeship) Incorporates NVQ Level 2 but gives you the opportunity to gain further confidence in the creative and fashionable aspects of hairdressing by achieving Level 3.
These courses can be fully funded for 16 to 18 year olds and persons up to 24 years of age in certain circumstances.
